She was a hockey player as well growing up. She had to audition seven times before landing as the role of Hermione Granger in Harry Potter. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree.

She has acted in many movies like harry potter as (Hermione Granger), Beauty and the beast as ( Princess Belle), and The tale of Despereaux as (Princess Pea), and one of her hit roles was is the movie Little Women as (Meg March). She was born in Paris, France but lives in London. Emma won many awards such as the Young Artist Award for (best performance in a Feauture Film), The ITV national film award for (Best Female Performance), she was appointed (UN Women Goodwill Ambassador), and an (MTV award) for best onscreen duo.
